Let's examine the possible ulterior motives for saying things like that, keeping in mind that there are often political and financial benefits to making people believe that your state is being overrun by [insert ethnic population here]. For example, is it conceivable that this sheriff wants some increased funding for his department? Another example: Perhaps when people complain of "too many Asians" in their neighborhoods, they're not really concerned about "Asian gang warfare" or "someone kidnapping and eating my dog" (as Michael Savage would put it) - perhaps they're actually concerned about racism like their own driving down their property values?

So I see Machete opened today, has the race war started yet?

I saw a Hispanic-looking man holding a rake today, so I guess it has. Run & hide.

So you claim the article is incorrect, the Feds never placed any such signs?

If there has been any overall decrease in the number of border jumpers into the US, this is mostly due to the downturn in the US economy and increased security, in places.

Let's just say that Arizonans like to overstate their case, and leave it at that. When people say things like, "We have absolutely no idea who killed this rancher, but we know it was an illegal", and "the desert is littered with bodies, even though we haven't actually seen any bodies in the desert", they're walking on a pretty fragile limb, IMO. I'm going to take anything they say with a grain of salt the size of freaking Utah.

We are not talking about Arizonans as much as we are talking about an article that says the Feds did something with signs. The Feds and Arizonans are two different things.
